Eight Sharcs ride one VME board By placing eight Analog Devices Sharc DSPs on one VME board, the Octal Sharc board features a total of 960 MFLOPs at 40 MHz, three banks of global memory (up to 64 Mbytes each), 16 off-board Sharc link ports, and a scalable and configurable multiprocessor interface. Host support for Solaris, VxWorks, and Lynx OS is included. In addition, Ixthos is selling Analog Devices` own development tools. Development software for PC and Sun environments includes an optimizing C compiler, assembler, linker, librarian, and simulator.
