The company is arranging for Philips Components USA (Slatersville, RI) to supply comparable lead oxide tubes under the Plumbicon name and to support existing tubes in the field. . . . Integral Technologies Inc. (Indianapolis, IN) and NumberFive Software (Ericeira, Portugal) have agreed to integrate Integral?s FlashPoint Intrigue Plus frame grabber with NumberFive?s CardFive identification-card design and printing software. . . . Originally developed by National Instruments (Austin, TX), the PCI eXtensions for Instrumentation (PXI) modular instrumentation specification has been endorsed by 15 companies with products and services, such as those from Analogic, Bittware Research Systems, Dolch Computer Systems, Vero Electronics, and Ziatech. The PXI specifications add mechanical, electrical, and software features tailored to test, measurement, automation, and data-acquisition applications. Completely interoperable with CompactPCI, the specifications incorporate Windows NT/95 as standard software framework and can be used directly with GPIB, VXI, VME, and serial-based instruments.
