At ITE 2015 in Yokohama, Japan from December 2-4, Pleora Technologies will be demonstrating its new Transcoder Gateway, which allows designers and integrators to preserve low latency, uncompressed video required for processing and analysis, while redistributing the image feed to users with less strict demands. The gateway appliance automatically converts video from up to four GigE Vision (depending on the model) or up to two USB3 Vision cameras into H.264 compression format. Video is then transmitted over a wireless or wired connection using RTSP to a playback device, including embedded PCs, tablets, and smartphones. The transcoder gateway—which is GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, and GenICam compliant—is suitable for use in such vision applications as medical imaging, transportation, and military imaging.
