Featuring a GigE processing engine, Xilinx FPGA, and DDR3 memory; the ZestET2-NJ FPGA module from Orange Tree Technologies targets data acquisition and control applications in such markets as factory automation, machine vision, and medical imaging. The user FPGA in the module is the Xilinx Artix-7 XC7A35T with over 33,000 logic cells, 1.8Mbits of Block RAM and 90 DSP slices. It is coupled with 512MBytes of 400MHz DDR3 SDRAM, giving it an ample memory bandwidth of 1.6GBytes/sec for high speed processing and formatting of streaming data. The FPGA module—which features more than 100 MBytes/s sustained data rate in each direction over GigE—features 105 user I/O pins, real-time Ethernet extensions PTP and SyncE, single power supply, and free Windows tools based on GCC and Eclipse for the GigEx User CPU. Additionally, the module features Windows and Linux software support for configuring and communicating with the user FPGA.
