MARCH 12--Coreco Imaging (Montreal, Quebec, Canada; www.coreco.com) has created a new Intelligent Products Division (IPD) that will provide easy-to-use, prepackaged machine-vision products to end users. Headquartered in Billerica, MA, this wholly owned subsidiary of Coreco Imaging will serve the international market.

The IPD will leverage the company's expertise in frame-grabber and machine-vision technology to serve the end-user market. A series of application-specific products that provide robust, user-friendly machine-vision solutions to the factory floor are in development. These highly intelligent, targeted products can be deployed in a matter of minutes by users who have no expert knowledge of machine-vision technology. With application logic and intelligence preinstalled, these devices can be conveniently configured through a standard Web-browser interface.

In addition, the IPD will focus on enhancing and supporting related products including Sherlock, a Windows-based, no-programming-required machine-vision software environment, and NetSight, an industrial machine-vision engine that combines converging PC technologies with standard, high-performance software interfaces.
