Panasonic offers free software download

JANUARY 3--Panasonic Vision Systems Group/OEM is offering proprietary software programs free of charge to technicians and engineers that allows them to modify the company's industrial and medical cameras and VCRs. The programs can be downloaded free of charge from the company's Web site: www.panasonic.com/visionsystems with password verification.

For cameras, Panasonics' EVR adjustment software provides access to features stored on double EPROM inside the units. Users will need to purchase Panasonic EVR Jig to interface their PC to Panasonic cameras. For VCRs, Panasonic is offering its MIS control software, which enables testing and base-line control functions.
