3D imaging library from AQSENSE features new analysis functions
July 6, 2016
SAL3D, a 3D shape analysis library from AQSENSE—a hardware independent software architecture for range map and point cloud processing—now features a number of new analysis functions and performance upgrades. These include tools for metric calibration, like the static zigzag calibration, specially designed for FOVs where the width is quite large compared to the height, as well as a geometric module, which contains tools to help on combining two or more factory-calibrated 3D devices. Additionally, the software now has a mesh import tool, which allows users to create clouds of points from meshes to use them as reference model in the Match3D tool.
