Sofradir’s miniature thermal imaging camera engines utilize a cryogenically-cooled Mercuty Cadmium Telluride (MCT) infrared detector. Three engine models will be introduced: the MiTIE MWIR-HD, a 1280 x 1024 pixel mid-wave engine, and two VGA-format 640 x 512 engines, one for the long-wave spectral band (MiTIE LWIR), and the other for the mid-wave band (MiTIE MWIR). The MWIR-HD model will feature a 15 µm x 15 µm pixel pitch, 3.7 to 4.8 µm spectral response, a thermal resolution of <25mK, and a frame rate of 30 Hz. The MiTIE LWIR model will feature a 15 µm x 15 µm pixel pitch, 7.7 to 9.3 µm spectral response, a thermal resolution of <22mK, and a frame rate of 60 Hz. The MiTIE MWIR model will feature a 15 µm x 15 µm pixel pitch, 3.7 to 4.8 µm spectral response, a thermal resolution of <18mK, and a frame rate of 60 Hz. The engines produce both analog NTSC/PAL video as well as 14-bit digital data (Camera Link and HDMI), and feature a USB or Camera Link interface.
