Thirty-five experts from more than 20 companies representing all majorcamera, frame grabber, and software companies were in attendance at the European Machine Vision Association’s (EMVA) GenICam standard working group meeting in Seoul, South Korea, during which the industry group re-elected its board.
Fritz Dierks fromBasler AG, reelected as Chairman, joins Vice Chairmen Christoph Zierl from MVTec Software, Rupert Stelz from Stemmer Imaging and Stephane Maurice, Matrox Imaging.
The GenICam committee says that its roadmap includes the release of GenTL SFNC 1.0 containing the definitions of the features for the GenICam GenTL standard and the release of the complete GenICam package 2.4 that includes updated versions for the GenICam GenApi, GenTL and SFNC modules. In addition, the group will soon start working on GenApi 3.0 to reach faster loading of the camera XML-files.
