Machine vision software and deep learning capabilities from EVT to be shown at The Vision Show
At The Vision Show 2018 in Boston, Eye Vision Technologies (EVT) will showcase a number of its latest machine vision products, including EyeVision machine vision software, EyeVision 3D software, and the RazerCam LS smart line scan camera.
One new capability being shown by EVT is its deep learning (EV DL) feature, which is designed for recognition of license plates and the make/model of cars, which is called VECID. Through convolutional neural networks (CNN), VECID can identify the type of car that just passed throug a gate of a parking lot and reading the plate number based on a trained CNN, removing the need to configure a conventional OCR reader system.
Another new feature on display will be EVT’s Parallel Processing on EyeVision software, which allows users to run multiple inspection programs at once with only one computing unit. Also on display will be EyeVision 3D software and its ProfileMatch and 3D unrollign commands, as well as the new RazerCam LS smart line scan camera with FPGA support.
