MVTec’sMERLIC 4 Preview offers users a look at new and optimized functions that will be available within version four of its MERLIC machine vision software. The main new feature in the software is parallelization, which offers the ability to run separate tools at the same time. This function, according to MVTec, makes it possible to implement multi-camera systems more effectively and to use computing capacities more efficiently, according to the company. Additional features of the software include a new Tool Flow window for a clearer overview of the tools used by arranging them in a grid, as well as the new Branch-on-Condition tool, which reportedly improves handling of connections, making it possible to immediately see which tools are executed.
