MVTec Launches Latest Version of Standard Machine Vision Software

MVTec recently launched the latest version of its standard machine vision software, MVTec HALCON 24.11.  This new version of HALCON features new deep learning tools such as Out of Distribution Detection, which notifies users when an object is classified that was not included in training data, and 3D matching, which is especially designed for bin picking and pick and place applications. In addition, improvements to existing tools such as shape-based matching and QR code reader can be used by individuals who do not have in-depth machine vision expertise.
