Allied Vision adds NIR camera to Alvium line

The new camera is available in bare board, open housing, and closed housing versions

The monochrome rolling shutter Alvium 1800 U-501 NIR camera from Allied Vision brings near infrared sensitivity to the Alvium camera line. The new camera is equipped with the ON Semiconductor AR0522 image sensor, in 1/2.5” optical format, featuring 5.1 MPixel resolution at 2592 x 1944 and a 2.2 µm pixel.

The new camera has USB3 Vision interface and can achieve 67 fps. It is available in bare board, open housing, and closed housing versions, with S-Mount, CS-Mount, or C-Mount options.

Samples of the Alvium 1800 U-501 NIR camera are available now, with series delivery beginning in early 2020. According to the manufacturer, the camera is appropriate for low-light surveillance and security applications.
