Streaming 3D camera features rapid on chip calculation for high-speed performance

The Ruler3000 series also offers high dynamic range functionality for difficult surfaces.
June 4, 2021

Ruler3000 3D streaming cameras combine SICK’s Ranger3 streaming camera with a Class 2 eye-safe laser, featuring a highly sensitive CMOS image sensor and rapid on-chip calculation to achieve up to 7000 full frame 3D profiles per second, with 15.4 Gbps processing.

Integration for C# and C++ users is made easier via the new SICK GenIStream API. The camera is GigE Vision and GenICam compliant and provides plug and play access to third-party software such as HALCON and LabVIEW. The cameras also feature IP65/67 protection.

According to the manufacturer, Ruler3000 cameras assure accurate measurements up to 8 µm in height.
