Heavy-Duty Lenses Resistant to Shock and Vibration

Fujifilm North America has introduced FUJINON HF-XA-1F, a series of lenses designed for applications that require high resistance to shock and vibration, such as robotics applications. The focal lengths range from 8 to 35 mm and include low distortion and consistent image sharpness along the edges. They are compatible with 2/3-in to 1/1.2-in image sensors and resolutions up to 5 MPixels, resulting in 3.45-μm pixel sizes. The lenses, which have no moving parts inside, use a C-mount to attach to cameras. Fujifilm provides three iris plates with the lens: F open, F4, and F8. The plates screw-lock into place to ensure they can withstand heavy shocks and vibration.
