Dec. 2, 2022
The camera is suited to applications involving bin picking operation in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

MATRIX VISION GmbH released the BVS 3D-RV1, a 3D camera that the company says is suited to detecting and handling small parts in large detection areas. An example of this type of application would be a bin picking operation in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. The camera includes 12 MPixel global shutter CMOS sensors and an integrated pattern projector, which optimizes the detection of parts or scenes with little visual texture. The camera, which has an IP54 design and passive cooling, operates according to the GigE Vision standard and has a GenICAM-compatible software interface. It has a working distance of up to 4 m.
