IDS Launches New Stereo Vision Camera Line
IDS has launched a new line of stereo vision 3D cameras, the Ensenso C series. Currently, there are two models, the C57-S and the C57-M. Both are projected texture stereo vision systems equipped with 5 MPixel global shutter stereo sensors and 2 MPixel RGB global shutter sensors. Both come with 200 w LED projectors with C-Mounts, and both can capture up to ten 3D point clouds per second. Both have GigE, 1xFlash/GPIO, and 1x Trigger interfaces. Both cameras are rated IP65/67.
The C57-S has a 230 mm stereo baseline Z accuracy of 0.1 mm at 1m distance, 975 mm focus distance and working distance of up to 12 / 800 – 1300 mm. It has a footprint of 290 x 58 x 100 mm and weighs 1160 g.
The C57-M has a 455 mm stereo baseline, Z-accuracy of 0.2 mm at 2 m distance, 1850 mm focus distance, and working distance of up to 12 / 1300-3600 mm. It has a footprint of 506 x 58 x 100 mm and weighs 1600 g.
The cameras all use one software package and include GPU-based image processing for faster 3D data processing.
The cameras can be used in a wide array of applications, including detecting and recognizing objects, bin picking, de-palletizing, and testing and measuring.
