Lambert Instruments Launches New Turnkey FLIM Camera

Oct. 12, 2023
Vision system designed for medical applications, including cell biology research, cancer research, and high throughput screening.

Lambert Instruments has released its LIFA vTAU, a camera-based Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM) turnkey vision system. LIFA vTAU features a single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) detector that can capture up to 100 lifetime images per second, and is capable of multiple image modes, including regular frequency domain FLIM and time-lapse recordings. The LIFA vTau has a 512 x 512 resolution with a 16 μm, a lifetime range of 0.2 to 300 ns, and a frame rate of up to 300 fps. It is designed to integrate with any camera-based fluorescence microscope. The LIFA vTau comes with dedicated software, which can not only instantly analyze the image data but presents the calculated fluorescence lifetimes visually. Recorded images are compatible with ImageJ, FIJI, Matlab, and MetaMorph and statistical data can be exported to Excel worksheets. The system can be used in a variety of applications, including cell biology, cancer research, and high throughput screening.
