JAI Launches New High Resolution UV Area Scan Camera

Machine vision camera designed for variety of automated inspection applications.

JAI recently announced the addition of the GO-8150M-5GE-UV to its Go Series of area scan cameras. Able to capture images in the visible and UV light spectrum, it is JAI’s highest resolution UV area scan camera. It has 8.1 MPixel resolution (2856x 2848), 66 fps frame rate, and is equipped with a backlit Sony Pregius S CMOS sensor and a global shutter. It is equipped with a C-mount lens and has a 5Gbps GigE, PoE interface. It is capable of 8/10/12-bit video output. The camera is 29 x 219 x 68 mm and weighs 94 g and is rated for shock and vibration at 80G and 10G, respectively. It comes standard with a double-AR-coated, quartz glass cover over the sensor, and can function in an operating temperature range of -5°C to 45°C. This camera is designed for a variety of machine vision  inspection applications, including inspection for microscopic defects, water inspection, and submicron alignment issues.
