PCI interfaces camera to PCs CCDs Delivering low read noise at readouts of 5 million pixels/s, the Quantix camera is cooled through a self-contained, forced-air system that eliminates thermally generated noise and extends exposure time. The 12-bit camera features a PCI bus interface allowing the camera head to be interfaced to Macintosh and PC systems. A SCSI connection is also available for Macintosh, Sun, and SGI hosts. Controller, digitization, and computer interface are consolidated within one compact camera head, and microscopes and C or F mount lenses can be accommodated.
