Vision system from wenglor offers multiple functions
DECEMBER 14--The wenglor (Tettnang, Germany) color image-processing system offers flexibility and a range of functions. It is especially well suited for complex tasks in production monitoring and is comprised of a small, compact digital camera with interchangeable lenses, state-of-the-art illumination technology, and an industrial-quality vision control unit. The control unit is furnished with preinstalled, read-to-use wenglor software. It can be set up easily and quickly.
The CMOS digital color camera, mounted in a sturdy aluminum housing, can be used for many applications, even where space is limited. With a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, the camera reads out 30 digital color images per second. Depending upon which lens is selected, the system can be adapted to the proportions of the respective application.
The vision system provides eight functions, which can be linked to one another. Objects are recognized regardless of position and skew. The working range can be individually defined as well, and interfering image areas can be suppressed. The system can be used with any background. It reads out diagnosis images for the quality assurance, which can then be used for troubleshooting.
