On display at the Z-LASER booth at SPIE Photonics West in San Francisco will be the newly-launched 3rdgeneration models of the ZM18 machine vision lasers, as well as the new ZM18-T3 laser, which allows for electronically-stabilized wavelengths. The 3rd gen lasers, the ZM18S3, ZM18H3, and ZM18DM53, are used in image processing as lighting or as a positioning laser. Features of the new lasers include:
- Increased modulation frequency from 1kHz to 500kHz (ZM18S3)
- Power stabilized laser with green or blue wavelength (ZM18H3)
- Increase of maximum optical output up to 200 mW
- New driver electronics for improved power stability
The ZM18-T3 is an electronically-stabilized wavelength laser that, because of the minimized wavelength drift, will allow for more repeatable measurement performance when designed into an automated gauging application across a wider variety of environmental installations. It also features an extended temperature range (-40°F to 131°F) without an additional environmental closure.
