Here is a roundup of some recently-released imaging and machine vision products from some of the leading companies in the industry. New products include a UV LED light, a 2D imager, and USB 3.0 and GigE Vision cameras.

UV LED light from ProPhotonix

COBRA Cure FX from ProPhotonix (above) is a UV LED lamp suited to a range of UV curing applications, as well as medical microscopy and printing applications. The light is a patent pending, compact, fan-cooled UV LED lamp available in a range of wavelengths, including 365nm, 385nm 395nm and 405nm.

16 MPixel USB 3.0 camera from Lumenera

The Lt16059H USB 3.0 camera from Lumenera features a 35mm 16 MPixel ON Semiconductor KAI-16070 4-tap CCD image sensor with a 7.4 µm pixel size that can achieve a frame rate of 12 fps in overclocked mode. The camera’s "dual-gain high dynamic range" (HDR) implementation outputs the same frame processed through two different gain amplifiers, which produces a crisp merged image with no ghosting effects.

29 MPixel imaging colorimeter from Radiant Vision Systems

The ProMetric I29 from Radiant Vision Systems is designed for automated inspection applications and features a 12-bit, 29 MPixel interline CCD image sensor that is cooled to 41°F as well as Smart Technology features, including electronic lens control and onboard touchscreen. It also features automated software, USB and Ethernet communications, and multiple lens options.

Scientific imaging camera from Andor

Andor’s iKon-M 912 CCD camera targets astronomy, luminescence detection, absorption measurement, and microscopy and features a back-illuminated 512 x 512 CCD image sensor with a 24 µm pixel size that can achieve frame rates up to 14.4 fps. The camera also features a USB 2.0 interface , C-Mount lens mount, and an SDK.

GigE Vision cameras from Teledyne DALSA

Teledyne DALSA’s GigE Vision cameras, the M1920 (monochrome) and C1920 (color), feature the 2.3 MPixel Sony IMX 249 image sensor and a 5.86 µm pixel size and can reach frame rates of up to 39 fps. The other cameras, the M1940 (mono) and C1940 (color) cameras feature Sony’s 2.3 MPixel IMX 174 image sensor and a 5.86 µm pixel size and can reach frame rates of up to 52 fps, and 84 fps with Teledyne DALSA’s TurboDrive technology.

2D imager from Datalogic

Matrix 210N 2D imagers from Datalogic, which are available in fixed focus straight angle, fixed focus right angle, or electronic focus control models, feature a global shutter CMOS image sensor that produces 780 x 480 images at 60 fps, integrated Ethernet/PROFINET/EtherNet/IP interfaces, and dynamic focus liquid lens models.
