Z-LASER—a manufacturer of intelligent laser technologies for metrology, machine vision, positioning, and medical technology—has reached the 30-year milestone.
Products developed by the company are exclusively developed and manufactured at the company’s Freiburg, Germany headquarters, and serve as illumination for 2D and 3D camera-based applications, as well as a visual positioning aid in various industries. In addition to laser, the company also offers computer-based laser projection systems and highly-customized OEM solutions, which are designed in close cooperation with customers.
Recently, Z-LASER received a silver-level Innovators Award from Vision Systems Design for its ZM18-T3 electronically-stabilized wavelength module (pictured). The ZM18-T3 is an electronically-stabilized wavelength laser that, because of its minimized wavelength drift, will allow for more repeatable measurement performance when designed into an automated gauging application. It features an extended temperature range of -40 to 131°F. The awards program aims to celebrate the disparate and innovative technologies, products, and systems found in the machine vision and image processing industry.
