Cor Valk, who has more than 20 years of experience in sales and business development as well as nine years in product management, has assumed the role of Business Development and Sales Manager for Basler AG. Valk has worked for such international corporations such as Omron and Sick, where he was involved in sales and opening up new markets within a technical environment. During this time, he gained extensive expertise in the industrial automation and sensor technology fields.
"I'm glad to have Cor joining us, since we've gained a highly skilled sales expert from the automation industry,” said Herfried Beckdorf, Head of European Sales at Basler. “Thanks to his deep experience in technical fields, we're going to extend the growth in the Benelux region, and further cement the significance of what is a highly important market for Basler."
Valk will work with Basler’s exclusive distributor DVC Machinevision B.V. (DVC) providing customer care for customers in the Benelux market while potentially developing new sales.
"We are very happy to welcome Cor Valk as Basler’s Business Development and Sales Manager in Benelux,” said Dick Goudriaan, General Director of DVC. “We look forward to working together, to support Basler’s customers in the Benelux region even better and to further develop Basler products into new markets."
Valk will work from his office near Amsterdam, while providing support for customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, an area that Basler suggests is among the most important European markets for the machine vision industry.
