Equipped with the Sony IMX174 CMOS image sensor; the BIP2-1920-30c network camera from Basler targets intelligent transportation system applications. The IMX174 is a 2.3 MPixel global shutter CMOS sensor with a 5.86 µm pixel size that is able to achieve frame rates of up to 30 fps. The sensor’s broad dynamic range enables the capturing of images in challenging light conditions such as lighted license plates. The camera features Power over Ethernet, IR blocking filter, MJPEG/MPEG-4, H.264, and the capturing of uncompressed individual images using real-time trigger (max of 4 fps). Additionally, the BIP2-1920-30c network camera is equipped with image settings that include automatic gain, exposure area, backlight compensation, white balance, 180° image rotation, anti-flicker, electronic PTZ, and motion detection.
