The latest image sensor from e2v, the EV76C541, is a wide-VGA format CMOS image sensor that is designed for low-light conditions and can achieve a frame rate of 125 fps in full resolution. The sensor features a 4.5 µm pixel size, and with low power consumption, is suitable for use in battery-powered applications such as handheld barcode scanners, as well as smart cameras, medical imaging, or 3D virtual reality goggles. Additionally, novel industrial machine vision application features such as multi region-of-interest mode and 3D range gating are also embedded on-chip. The EV76C541 will be on display at Photonics West in San Francisco from February 16-18.
