With on-board intelligence to perform image processing, image analysis, object detection and barcode decoding functions, the JE-231V color smart camera from JADAK is designed to be embedded into medical, life sciences, and other OEM devices. The camera features a 5 MPixel CMOS image sensor with 8-bit color that can achieve frame rates up to 14 fps, as well as white LED illumination and a choice of difference optics and interface options. With JADAK’s barcode decoding software tools, the smart camera supports the scanning of both 1D and 2D barcode types, as well as optical character recognition. Additionally, the company’s Clarity machine vision software enables the camera to perform image analysis functions such as object counting, shape analysis, item measurement, mechanical alignment measurement, and more.
