Hottest machine vision and imaging topics of 2016

Throughout the year, a vast array of different machine vision andimaging topics were covered on Vision Systems Design. As determined by a look back at our articles throughout the year, however, some of the most popular topics of the year were 3D imaging, embedded vision, deep learning, and robotics, as well as our Innovators Awards and trade show coverage articles.

While this list is anything but definitive, we wanted to offer a look back at some of the most popular articles written on these topics. It will be interesting to look back at this list in a year, two years, five years, and so on—to see how much and how quickly things will change.
