USB3 autofocus liquid lens cameras from PixeLINK to be shown at VISION 2016
PixeLINK will showcase its new line of USB3 autofocus liquid lens cameras, which feature one-push autofocus and can obtain a sharp image from a few centimeters to infinity in less than 20 ms. The cameras are available in a wide range of color and monochrome models, ranging from 1.3 MPixel to 15 MPixel in size with CMOS image sensors from ON Semiconductor, CMOSIS, and Sony. The liquid lenses in the USB3 cameras are the Cx series of lenses from Edmund Optics, which were honored as a silver-level honoree in the 2016 Innovators Awards. Cx series lenses are a modular three-piece design that incorporate fixed apertures, internal filter holders, or liquid lenses into the assembly. All three pieces can be separated and manipulated to allow for shifting and changing of optical elements to alter the working distance range of the lens.
