Long range infrared surveillance cameras now available with new field of view options
Now available through Sierra-Olympic Technologies are two new long-range infrared surveillance cameras with continuous-zoom fields-of-view (FOV) with 15-60mm and 50-150mm from Aeron. The new models of the infrared cameras are the Aeron Searcher 60, with a 15-60 mm thermal optic with near-object detection within 1.5 km, as well as the Aeron Searcher 150, with 50-150 mm LWIR zoom, which is best for long-range imaging. Both cameras feature either an SD (1/4” Sony HAD CCD image sensor) or HD (Sony Exmor CMOS sensor) option, as well as a 640 x 480 uncooled VOx microbolometer infrared detector with a 17 µm pixel size and 8-14 µm spectral band. All Aeron Searcher infrared detectors use a proprietary image contrast enhancement (ICE) algorithm to improve the image in low-temperature contrast environments.
