Designed for remote surveillance, observation, reconnaissance and rescue operations, the Nyxus Bird portable infrared camera from Jenoptik offers both infrared and visual channels. The camera features a 640 x 480 uncooled microbolometer focal plane array with a 17 µm pixel size that can reach speeds of 30 fps. The portable infrared camera features a thermal resolution of less than 0.08 K, human detection beyond 2 km, vehicle detection beyond 5 km, and a spectral range of 8 to 14 µm. Additionally, the camera features an internal GPS sensor, a digital compass, an internal zoom function, and a 55 mm objective lens. This camera from Jenoptik is available through InfraTec.
