Point Grey releases 5 MPixel Blackfly GigE Vision camera

Point Grey’s latest Blackfly camera comes in monochrome or color models, features a 1/2.5” CMOS image sensor from Aptina, and is suitable for use in factory automation, scientific imaging, and visualization applications, such as video conferencing.

Point Grey’s latest Blackfly camera, the 5 MPixel BFLY-PGE-50A2, comes in monochrome or color models and features a 1/2.5" CMOS image sensor from Aptina. At full resolution, the camera can achieve a frame rate of 13 fps and with region of interest functionality; users can configure the sensor to achieve a frame rate of 28 fps at HD 1080p (1,920 x 1,080). In addition, the camera features Power over Ethernet, GigE Vision interface, in-field updatable firmware, color interpolation, third-party imaging library support, and a 29 x 29 x 30 mm size. The BFLY-PGE-50A2 is suitable for use in factory automation, scientific imaging, and visualization applications, such as video conferencing.
