Newnex introduces new USB 3.0 active cable repeaters for machine vision cameras

FirenNEX-uPW-14m and FireNEX-uPW-12m USB 3.0 active cable repeaters from Newnex are capable of transmitting USB 3.0 signals up to 14 meters away. The cables are designed to be used with machine vision cameras such as those from Point Grey or Lumenera.

FirenNEX-uPW-14m and FireNEX-uPW-12m USB 3.0 active cable repeaters from Newnex are capable of transmitting USB 3.0 signals up to 14 meters away. Both the 12m and 14m models feature 5 Gbps data transfer speed and USB 2.0 backward compatability and are designed to accommodate machine vision cameras. The cables feature USB 3.0 B or USB 3.0 Micro B with USB3 Vision standard locking and with the newly added DC jack, the cables can support additional power, if needed. The new cable repeaters were used in compatability tests with such cameras as Point Grey’s Grasshopper USB 3.0 and Lumenera’s Lt234 camera.
