e2v has announced the release of its CIRES line of color, infrared cameras, which feature e2v’s own Ruby 1/1.8" CMOS image sensors with 5.3 µm x 5.3 µm pixel size. CIRES cameras provide sensitivity from the visible to the near-infrared (400 nm – 1100 nm) and are available with global shutter or electronic rolling shutter sensors in both color and monochrome models. The 1,280 x 1,024 pixel cameras achieve a frame rate up to 60 fps and also feature a Camera Link interface, a CS-Mount lens mount, as well as bad pixel replacement, two-point non-uniformity correction, and contrast enhancement image processing capabilities. CIRES cameras are suitable for use in daylight and low-light level conditions in defense, security, and surveillance applications.
