Point Grey Flea3 USB3 Vision cameras feature CMOS sensors from e2v
The Flea3 FL3-U3-20E4 camera models (color and monochrome versions) are equipped with a 2 MPixel EV76C5706F CMOS image sensor from e2v. The 1/1.8" sensor features a 4.5 µm x 4.5 µm pixel size and achieves a frame rate of 59 fps at full resolution. The Flea3 camera features a C-Mount lens mount, electronic rolling shutter mode, and an image processing pipeline for color interpolation, look up table, and gamma. In addition, the USB3 Vision-compliant camera has a 32 MByte frame buffer, on-camera power, temperature, and status monitoring, and in-field updatable firmware. The camera, according to Michael Gibbons, Director of Sales and Marketing, Point Grey, is suitable for use in industrial inspection, 3D imaging, and bioscience.
