Basler’s newly-announced family of area scan cameras, the beat series, features two models: the beA4000-60kc (color) and beA4000-60km (monochrome). The 12 MPixel cameras feature a 1.75" CMV12000 CMOS image sensor with a 5.5 µm x 5.5 µm pixel size from CMOSIS that acheives a frame rate of 62 fps. The camera also has a selectable 8, 10, or 12-bit depth, a Camera Link interface, and comes equipped with Basler’s pylon camera software suite. The beat series of cameras are suitable for use, according to Basler, in such applications as intelligent transportation systems, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, and other metrology and identification tasks.
