Edmund Optics introduces expanded offering of infrared optics
Edmund Optics expanded offering of infrared optics features broadband anti-reflective coatings to meet growing market demand for infrared applications. The new offerings include 3 µm to 5 µm coating options on Silicon PCX lenses and Silicon Windows, and 8 µm to 12 µm coating options on Germanium PCX lenses and Germanium Windows. TECHSPEC Silicon optics are available with a 3 µm to 5 µm broadband anti-reflective coating in a range of sizes. The silicon optics are suitable for use in weight-sensitive IR applications, such as IR spectroscopy. TECHSPEC Germanium optics are available with 3 µm to 12 µm and 8 µm to 12 µm broadband anti-reflective coating in a range of sizes. The Germanium optics are suitable for use in infrared applications such as remote sensing, spectroscopy, and thermal imaging.
