PHOTONIS has introduced the NOCTURN-GV GigE camera, which is optimized for low-light imaging conditions. The NOCTURN-GV features a Lynx CMOS image sensor with a 1280 x 1028 pixel array and 9.7 µm x 9.7 µm pixel size that achieves up to 50 fps. In addition, the camera offers less than 4e- read noise, a CS-Mount lens mount, automatic gain and exposure control, bad pixel replacement and two points non-uniformity correction, and up to 8X digital zoom. The camera is the result of a previously-announced development partnership with Pleora Technologies to utilize its iPORT camera interface. Applications suitable for the NOCTURN-GV camera include security and surveillance, UAVs, and remote monitoring.
