CMOSIS will showcase its new CMV8000—an 8 MPixel CMOS image sensor that achieves a frame rate of 105 fps—at VisionChina 2014 from March 18-20. The CMV8000 is a 4/3“ sensor with a 5.5 µm x 5.5 µm pixel size and global shutter that is offers the same performance, from an electro-optical standpoint, as CMOSIS‘ CMV2000 and CMV4000 image sensors. At full resolution and frame rate, the power dissipation of the sensor is 900mW. In addition, the sensor will be available in both monochrome and RGB models. CMV8000 image sensors are suitable for use in machine vision, intelligent transportation solutions, microscopy, security and surveillance, and medical imaging applications.
