IRCameras have released an extended short wave infrared (SWIR) scientific camera in both the IRC800 and IRC900 series of cameras. These cameras are capable of detecting wavelengths out to 2.5 µm and are available in 640 x 512 or 1,280 x 1,024 image formats. IRCameras developed the LN2 and Stirling cooled SWIR cameras by optimizing the sensor, dewar, cold stop, and cold filter for the extended SWIR spectral range, which makes the cameras suitable for use in spectroscopy, hyperspectral/multispectral applications, chemical-biological detection, and geological mapping.
