VISOR vision sensors with Multishot function from SensoPart to be shown at Automate
SensoPart’s VISOR series of vision sensors, which feature the new Multishot function, will be on display at Automate 2017. The Multishot function, which enables the detection and evaluation of raised or recessed structures, involves the use of an innovative lighting technique that allows contours to stand out clearly, so that raised or recessed letters and digits in OCR and OCV applications can be easily read. These illumination techniques create a virtual height image from four single images taken with different illumination directions. Multishot also enables the reading of data matrix codes molded directly onto plastic surfaces, detection of damage such as dents or scratches or the recognition of raised adhesive beads on the same colored background. Multishot is available as an internal function of the vision sensor, as well as an external ring light.
