3D cameras and embedded vision products from Basler to be shown at SPIE Photonics West
At the Basler booth at SPIE Photonics West 2017, the company will showcase a number of its latest products, including its PowerPack embedded vision development kit and 3D Time of Flight cameras. Basler’s PowerPack for Embedded Vision is a development kit (pictured) for integrating one of the company’s dart industrial cameras with a BCON for LVDS interface. It contains a 5 MPixel dart camera module (MT9P031 CMOS image sensor from ON Semiconductor, 14 fps), with the BCON for LVDS interface, an S-Mount lens with fixed local length of 8 mm and IR-cut filter, a processing board with Xilinx Zynq-7010 system-on-chip (SoC), USB 3.0 cables, and additional accessories.
The 3D Time of Flight cameras operate on the pulsed Time of Flight principle, is equipped with eight LEDs in the NIR range, and generates 2D and 3D data in one shot with a multipart image, comprised of a range, intensity and confidence map. The first model, the ToF640-20gm_850nm features a 640 x 480 Panasonic image sensor, reaches 20 fps, and delivers distance values in a working range of 0 to 13.3 meters. In addition to these products, Basler will showcase its PGI feature set, which is a firmware feature set that allows real-time camera image optimization, as well as its ace camera with a Sony IMX252 CMOS image sensor.
