Imaging filters from MidOpt are designed for agricultural monitoring applications
Jan. 26, 2017
Designed specifically for agricultural monitoring applications, the new NDVI (normalized difference vegetation index) imaging filters from MidOpt are available in four models, the first of which is the Bi725 red edge bandpass filter, which has a useful range of 717 – 732nm.
The other filters launched were three multi-band visible + infrared filters, starting with the DB550/850 dual bandpass filter, which features dual ranges of 535 – 565nm and 830 – 870nm. Next is the TB475/550/850 Blue + Green + NIR triple bandpass filter, which features ranges of 468 – 483 nm, 543 – 558 nm, and 835 – 865nm. Lastly, the TB550/660/850 Green + Red + NIR triple bandpass filter features ranges of 543 – 558nm, 653 – 668nm, and 835 – 865nm. All of these filters are designed to be used to distinguish thriving from stressed vegetation.
