High-speed camera company iX Cameras expands network into Australia and New Zealand

Developer and manufacturer of high-speed cameras iX cameras has announced a sales and distribution partnership with SciTech PTY LTD of Preston, Victoria, Australia. SciTech is now the exclusive distributor of iX Cameras products in Australia and New Zealand.

Developer and manufacturer of high-speed cameras iX cameras has announced a sales and distribution partnership with SciTech PTY LTD of Preston, Victoria, Australia. SciTech is now the exclusive distributor of iX Camerasproducts in Australia and New Zealand.

With more than 25 years in the business, SciTech is an imaging specialist company and supplier of high-end scientific products to a range of markets, including industrial, physical science and engineering, defense science, education, and research.

Jonathan Hatton, Director of Business Development at iX Cameras said, "As the demand for our i-SPEED cameras increases worldwide, it is vital that we partner with industry veterans like the team at SciTech to showcase the benefits and capabilities to customers in the Australasian market, and provide excellent post-sale customer support."

High-speed cameras available from iX Cameras include the i-SPEED 7 series, which is comprised of the i-SPEED 716, i-SPEED 720, and i-SPEED 726 cameras. These cameras feature custom 2048 x 1536 CMOS image sensors with a 13.5 µm pixel size, and can achieve 7,960 fps, 9,942 fps, and 12,742 fps at full resolution, respectively. The cameras—which are available in color or monochrome—can reach maximum frame rates of up to 1 million fps (726 model).
