As customer demands grow and applications expand; machine vision technologies—including cameras and software—must evolve. One such technology in the world of vision is hyperspectraland multispectral imaging components, which David Dechow, Staff Engineer, Intelligent Robotics/Machine Vision, FANUC America Corporation, will discuss in depth in a free webcast on June 21.

While there are numerous applications that multispectral imaging and hyperspectral imaging are suitable for, one in particular that we are going to focus on has been positively impacted by the emergence of these technologies, and that is factory automation and inspection. Specific techniques for quality inspection and defect analysis of products, including food and beverage products, using multispectral and hyperspectral components will be discussed by Dechow, as well as the products available, the capabilities of the technology, and additional application areas.
