Designed to enable video imaging under reduced x-ray dosage conditions, the KAF-09001 CCD image sensor from ON Semiconductor provides the same performance as the KAF-09000 sensor for digital radiography image capture, but incorporates an improved output architecture that supports a high sensitivity video mode, facilitating patient positioning while minimizing overall x-ray exposure. The sensor is a 9.1 MPixel CCD imager with a 12 µm pixel size that can reach a frame rate of 10 fps with 3 x 3 binning. Additionally, the monochrome sensor is available in both standard and engineering grades in an RoHS-compliant CERDIP-60 package with an integrated CuW cooling plate.
