LensMechanix CAD software for lens designers awarded Gold Partner status by SOLIDWORKS
The latest iteration of Zemax LensMechanix CAD software for lens designers has been awarded Certified Gold Partner product status by SOLIDWORKS, a 3DCAD program by Dassault Systèmes.
LensMechanix, according to SOLIDWORKS, meets the highest expectations for quality, functionality, performance, and integration with the SOLIDWORKS platform. The CAD software from Zemax is the only Certified Gold Partner product specifically designed for the needs of optomechanical engineers.
LensMechanix 3.0 is the latest version of the SOLIDWORKS add-in for optomechanical development. It includes the following new features/capabilities:
- Quickly isolate spot size, beam clipping, and image contamination issues using the new design troubleshooter tool in the Optical Performance Summary table
- With two clicks, create ISO 10110 drawings for manufacturing optical components
- See visual representations of information about optical component tolerances and sensitivities
The software includes tools to package, analyze, and validate optomechanical designs. It enables users to build the optical components with actual lens dimensions from OpticStudio, eliminating the need for STEP and IGES files. Zemas offers a free trial of the software, available here.
