Edmund Optics to showcase SWIR and ruggedized machine vision lenses at SPIE DCS 2018
At the Edmund Optics booth at SPIE DCS 2018 from April 15-19 in Orlando, the company will showcase its TECHSPEC SWIR series fixed focal length lenses, stability-ruggedized TECHSPEC Rugged Blue Series M12 µ-Video lenses, and its Compact Ruggedized (CR) Series fixed focal length lenses.
TECHSPEC SWIR Series lenses are designed for applications operating in the shortwave infrared (SWIR) spectra, ranging from 0.9 to 1.7 µm. The lenses are available in 25, 50, and 100 mm focal lengths are feature SWIR-optimized optical designs, glass types, and anti-reflection coatings from 0.8 to 1.8 µm.
TECHSPEC CR Series lenses (pictured) are designed to maintain optical pointing and positioning in harsh environments that involve vibration, shock, and changing temperatures Available in 6, 8.5, 12, 16, 25, 35, and 50 mm focal lengths, the lenses feature robust mechanics and a stainless-steel locking C-Mount clamp.
Additionally, the company will showcase its TECHSPEC Rugged Blue Series M12 µ-Video Lenses, which are stability-ruggedized, protecting the lens from damage, while reducing pixel shift and maintaining optical pointing stability after shock and vibration. Designed for calibrated imaging applications such as measurement and gauging, 3D stereo vision, robotics and sensing, autonomous vehicles, and object tracking, the lenses are available in a variety of f/# options ranging from f/2.5 to f/8, as well as 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 17.5, and 25 mm focal lengths.
