At SPIE Photonics West 2018, Sofradir will showcase its new Snake SW Tecless VGA shortwave infrared(SWIR) detector, which is designed for use in high-volume applications including machine vision and security and surveillance. The SWIR detector—which is the first SWIR detector without a cooler that Sofradir has commercialized—is a 640 x 512 InGaAs sensor with a 15 µm pixel pitch that can reach a frame rate of up to 300 fps. Additionally, the detector has a quantum efficiency of >70% and measures just 16.5 mm x 16.5 mm x 2.8 mm.
